It's election day in Ontario, and in Nipissing, there are eight choices:
- Vic Fedeli, PC Party
- Joe Jobin, Ontario Party
- Michelle Lashbrook, Libertarian
- Erika Lougheed, Ontario NDP
- Sean McClocklin, Green Party of Ontario
- Taylor Russell, New Blue Party of Ontario
- Giacomo Vezina, None of the Above Direct Democracy Party
- Tanya Vrebosch, Ontario Liberal Party

Elections Ontario reports 12.29 per cent of 65,454 eligible voters in Nipissing have already cast their ballots via advance polls. Elections Ontario also received requests for mail-in voting kits from 126,135 eligible residents, up from just over 15,000 in 2018. As a reminder for those who applied to vote by mail, Elections Ontario must receive voting kits either by mail or at a returning office by 6 p.m. on Thursday.
Polls are open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, June 2.
To be eligible to vote in an Ontario election, you must be:
- 18 years of age or older;
- a Canadian citizen; and
- a resident of Ontario.
What identification you need to bring will depend on whether you are on the Voters List
If your name is on the Voters List:
- You must show one piece of identification that has your name on it. Your name as shown on the piece of identification must match your name on the Voters List.
If your name is not on the Voters List:
- You must show one piece of identification that has your name and current residential address.
You can use an original identification document, a photocopy of an identification document, or an electronic copy displayed on a mobile device. This includes utility bills received electronically.
Elections Ontario provides accessible voting options, tools and services at all voting locations and assistive voting technology in all returning offices. Voters can also request a home visit if they are unable to go to a voting location.

- Henri Giroux (NDP) 36.87%
- Stephen Glass (Liberal) 7.93%
- Kris Rivard (Green) 2.83%
- Trevor Holliday (NOP) 2.09%
- Bond Keevil (Libertarian) 0.35%
2018 saw 35,243 votes cast in Nipissing, a turnout of 59.7 per cent of 59,031 eligible voters in the riding.
