Following the municipal and school board elections held on October 24, Conseil scolaire catholique Franco-Nord (CSCFN) will welcome three new trustees and three trustees will be returning for a new four-year term beginning November 15.
Nicole Fournier was re-elected by acclamation. Roch Prevost is a new trustee for North Bay.
Sonia Oas was acclamed for the Mattawa-East Ferris area.
In West Nipissing, Lise Lavigne, Ronald Demers and Michel Roberge were re-elected.
"With the experience of those returning and the ideas of the new members, I am confident that together we will continue to be innovative and progressive for the well-being and success of students," said Director of Education, Serge Levac. "L'École catholique's tradition of excellence will continue."
Diane Corriveau, Roland Rochon and Roch Pilon did not run for a new term.
"It is with deep respect and immense gratitude that I say goodbye and thank these three colleagues who have shown great dedication to ensuring a high-quality French-language Catholic education for our youth." said Levac.
Elections for the presidency will be held on November 15 at the inaugural meeting.
