The North Bay 15U Panthers came home with the silver medal after an amazing showing at the Bradford Fathers Day Tournament.

The boys were down 3 players for their first game on Friday night against Thorold but still came away with a 26-7 victory.

Great pitching all around and the bats were on fire right from the start.

That continued in Game 2 against Caledon on Saturday morning where they again were victorious with a 20-5 win.

Game 3 was Saturday night against a talented team from Oakville. It was a tight game from the very start, a pitching dual and defensive clinic by both teams.  The game came down to the wire and the U15 North Bay Panthers found a way to put on one more run in a walk-off 2-1 victory.

With their 3-0 record the U15 Panthers won their pool and advanced to the semi-finals where they faced the Sault Ste Marie U15 Selects Sunday morning.

It was a tight game from the very beginning, both teams were crushing the ball, pitchers were battling and defence was on point too.  In a thriller, the North Bay U15 Panthers won in an extra inning walk-off again, this time 10-9.

This paved their way to a rematch with Oakville in the finals.

Both teams battled hard, hitting was strong once again and Oakville came on top with a high-scoring 31-20 victory over the North Bay U15 Panthers.

9U Panthers strike!

The U9 North Bay Panthers played a home and home against the Valley East Voyageurs over the weekend. The first two games were played at Amelia Park in North Bay, where the 9U Panthers won both games comfortably.

On Sunday, the team travelled to Kin Park in Blezard Valley for two more games where they found themselves in a tougher match up in the last of the four games winning 17-15.

The team's offence was on fire all weekend long, driving in 105 runs in four games.

11U Panthers in tough

The 11U North Bay Panthers went 0-4 on the weekend but were in each of the four games,  losing by only two runs in three of the four games played. The games were evenly matched with the lead switching back and forth  in each of the four contests.

Both teams will head to Sudbury on Friday to compete in their first tournament of the season.
