Meyer goes to the air as Barons soar past Trojans

The Algonquin Barons continued their great start to the NDA season with a convincing 40-8 victory over the West Ferris Trojans in NDA senior football action at the Mike O'Shea Field in North Bay on Thursday afternoon. 

Barons quarterback Dayne Meyer had a solid performance throwing four touchdown passes to four different receivers in the win while piling up 225 yards passing.

The Barons offensive line was solid not allowing a single sack in the win. 

Matt Desbiens, Luke Braceland, Owen Shillington, and Mat Berube hauled in touchdowns from Meyer.  

Ryan Smetana and Jacob Dubois each ran in touchdown too. 

The Barons Liam Cosgrove added 2 sacks while Austin Ouimette had 1 sack.

Sam Pannell and Matt Séguin had 2 tackles for losses while Jacob McGill finished with more than 10 tackles on his own. 

Carson Sagle had the lone touchdown for the Trojans.  

The win moves the Barons to 2-0 on the season while the Trojans fall to 0-2.
