Inmates charged after damaging jail property

Three inmates were charged by police Sunday after a disturbance at the North Bay jail  March 22nd.

Police say three men caused extensive damage to the inside of the building and also started a fire. The Institutional Crisis Intervention Team responded and took control of the incident but one guard sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Clayton Quakegesic, age 35, was charged with:

  • one count of unlawful assembly;
  • one count of mischief over $5,000; and
  • one count of arson.

Randall Wabano, age 31, was charged with:

  • one count of mischief over $5,000;
  • one count of arson; and
  • one count of breach of probation.

James Deveaux, age 18, was charged with:

  • one count of mischief over $5,000;
  • one count of arson; and
  • one count of fail to comply with sentence.
