The Toronto band that was a huge hit two years ago at the Bay Block Party is coming back!
Nostalgia rockers Dwayne Gretzky will headline the August 24 event.
"We are thrilled to bring back the Bay Block Party and create a space where the city can come together to celebrate our diverse and vibrant culture," said co-chair Kate Ricci "This event is about connecting people, supporting local talent, and enjoying the wonderful city we live in."
The day-long event is presented by the North Bay and Area REALTORS Association. "This is a free entry, family-friendly event designed to celebrate the unique culture and creativity of our community," says a news release.
Highlights include live music featuring local talent and the headlining act, Dwayne Gretzky, back by popular demand. Also, there will be art installations, hands-on workshops, and delicious treats from FoodFest vendors organized by Downtown North Bay and Waterfront
"Kids will love the dedicated Kids Zone and BMX street rail tricks, and the Artisan Market will showcase unique handmade goods. For adults, there will be a beer garden featuring samples from local craft breweries and distilleries," says the release.
You must buy a wristband/mug combo to participate in alcohol sales. Organizers ask that you support the North Bay Food Bank by bringing a non-perishable food item.

The event runs from noon till 10.
