HARASSMENT
On March 9 Cst. Bruce Whitehead and Cst. Scott Buchanan of the North Bay Police Service received a complaint of an incident. This alleged incident was that a man criminally harassed a woman known to him and that he had also assaulted her on two previous occasions. Later that evening the officers located the man in question and arrested him.
Dean HALEY, 30, of no fixed address, is charged with criminal harassment, two counts of assault, two counts of threatening death and breach of recognizance. He was kept in custody awaiting a bail hearing.
BANK FRAUDS
On the 9th of March Cst. Peter Brunette and Merv Shantz of the North Bay Police Service received information concerning an attempted bank fraud in North Bay.
The officers sent description information to other banks and shortly after they received further information that the suspects were attempting the same thing at another bank. The officers attended and assisted by other officers arrested two people. They had allegedly attempted to use stolen identification in order to access bank accounts.
Lara Michelle GANNON, 38, of Worthington Street, is charged with impersonation, five counts of attempted fraud, possession of stolen property and breach of probation.
Phillip John ELLERY, 22, of no fixed address, is charged with break and enter and theft, possession of stolen property, attempted fraud and impersonation. Both were kept in custody for a bail hearing.
