FAKE GUN On Feb. 24 during the afternoon hours officers of the North Bay Police Service were called to the area of Northgate Square Shopping Centre regarding an alleged shoplifter. This male shoplifter ran from security and had fled the mall.

On Feb. 24 during the afternoon hours officers of the North Bay Police Service were called to the area of Northgate Square Shopping Centre regarding an alleged shoplifter.

This male shoplifter ran from security and had fled the mall.

The security person had noticed what appeared to be a handgun on the shoplifter's possession. Cst. Jason Long and Cst. Andre Berube located an individual matching the description a short distance away on Trout Lake Road.

The man was arrested and found to be in possession of a
plastic replica gun on his person.

Adam Robert MARTIN, 19, of McIntyre Street E, is charged with theft under, possession of a dangerous weapon and breach of probation. He is to appear in court April 5.
