We got some calls yesterday afternoon asking what the black smoke was all about.
Deputy Fire Chief Greg Saunders tells BayToday that the fire was at the Fern Piche scrap yard, 100 Industrial Drive, yesterday afternoon around 3:30.
It's a locally owned and operated scrap metal collection and recycling business.
It was quickly extinguished by firefighters from Station 2.
No injuries.
