City crews are on the scene of another sinkhole, the second in the last few days. This one will have a big impact on traffic also.
This one has closed Main St. between Timmins and Cormack St.
The sinkhole opened up shortly after 3 p.m. and widened to between four to five feet.
City workmen told BayToday that the hole was caused by a 12 inch water main break.
Main St. is closed, and will likely remain that way through the afternoon rush hour. There is no timetable yet as to when the road will reopen to traffic.
There is local access only at either side of the dig site. North Bay Transit Buses 1B Campus and 1A College have been detoured.
