DESBARATS, ON. - The Algonquin Junior Girls Basketball team captured the NOSSA 'A' Girls Basketball crown with a 35-33 win over Bishop Carter in the final. It was a come from behind victory as the Barons took the lead with only 2 minutes left in the game to claim the victory at Central Algoma Secondary School on Saturday.

The Barons lost to that same team 41-37 during the round robin portion of the tournament.
