FEINDEL: Leroy Lester “Les”
Wednesday, September 01, 2010 Passed away suddenly at the North Bay General Hospital – Scollard Site, on Tuesday, August 31, 2010. Les was the beloved husband of Verna Layman (nee Schultz) and the late June Salter (predeceased on July 4, 1981), he was 81 years old. Loving father of Robert of Edmonton, Thomas (Wendy) of Westmeath, Terry (Linda) of Edmonton, Susan Haslam (Ray) of Guelph, Joanne Schroder (Greg) of Florida. He was predeceased by his son Bruce (October 20, 1982). He will be remembered by his step–children Kathryn and her husband Emile St George of North Bay, Douglas Layman of Ottawa and Lorrie and Leisa. He is also predeceased by his stepsons Gary Layman (predeceased 2010) and Barry Layman (predeceased 1999). He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Penny, Jason, Sean, Josea, Curtis, Stephanie, Chantel, Tyler, Jenilee, Douglas, Samantha, Amy, Shandrell, Madison, Taylor and great grandchildren Chance, Madison, Mackenzie, Jacob, Jessica, Tyson, Kaleigh, Miranda, Travis, Aimee, Eva, Vincent, Shaelynn, Haley, M.J. and Jordan. Les joined the RCAF in Moncton, N.B. in 1947 and served in Calgary, AB., Cold Lake, A.B., France, (NATO), Greenwood, N.S., Ottawa, Summerside, P.E.I., Shearwater, N.S. and after serving 34 years he retired in North Bay in 1981. Visitation will be held in the Martyn Funeral Home on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9:00 P.M. A Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, September 4th at 11:00 am. Cremation will follow the funeral. If desired, donations to Northern Cancer Research Foundation or the Parkinson Society will be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy. Friday, August 27, 2010 Peacefully at the North Bay General Hospital – Scollard Site, on Friday, August 27, 2010. Eddie was the beloved husband of Alonia (nee Rivet), he was 75 years old. Loving father of Dan and his wife Lynn of Bolton. Dearly loved brother of Harold Lubitz and his wife Mary of Val Caron, Doris Loney and Mariam Larochelle both of North Bay. Visitation will be held in the Martyn Funeral Home on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, August 30th at 11:00 am.
